Principal Message

I first would like to thank you all for this opportunity to serve as the principal of Tracey Magnet School.  It is an honor to take on this responsibility.

I was born and raised in Norwalk and am a proud alumni of Norwalk Public Schools.  It is a privilege to return to Norwalk and serve the community I grew up in.  I have spent 17 of my 18  years in  the education field in Norwalk.  During my tenure, I have worked in many capacities; as a classroom teacher, an instructional coach, and as a curriculum and instruction site director.  I have worked with the students, staff, and families of the Tracey community for the past three years, providing professional development, conducting observations, facilitating meetings, and collaborating with the supervisors of Central Office.  And the truth is, Tracey is home for me.

I believe deeply in the power of education and the impact it has on the Tracey community. During my time at Tracey I have worked to ensure educational opportunities for all students. I want all of our students prepared for our ever-changing world, to know that they are loved, and that I believe in their success.

This year, systems have been put in place to continue the growth my predecessors began. Creating an open community, where all people know they are welcomed, safe, and accepted is a priority of mine.  I will work to make Tracey the very best it can be and to live out our core values of PRINT through academic rigor, equity, trust, and a sense of belonging.

I look forward to the challenge of leading Tracey into the future with the support of the families, staff, and Central Office.  Thank you again for this opportunity.  Engaging in the work with you is essential to continue the growth and success of every student at Tracey.
